With the work Echo of Falling Man, the artists Harm Weistra & Eddi Bal ‘reanimate’ a picture of one of the unidentified gay men, killed by ISIS by throwing them off buildings. The work can be seen as an afterimage, mirroring the iconic Richard Drew photo of a ‘falling man’, who jumped out of the World Trade Center during the 9/11 attacks in New York. On a deeper level, the animation symbolizes the relationship between the Al-Qaeda attacks in New York and the terror ISIS spread through the Middle East.

Synopsis MI DI WORM no. 10, 2018, 1’, color, audio The starting material is a frame-to-frame animation art of 2-Stop motion: A production with visual effects. Of the type related to a stereoscopic recording, the flickering wiggling-picture ramifications of the yellow color animate strokes on a red background. Part of the constellations complement intermittent in animated gestures: Similar to caves drawing or a children's schematic stick figures. The setting has met with curiosity. The points stand out, as they would be a fantastic set of notes, virtually painted to listen to.

A very brief history of Morse code. This film includes my five favorite significant messages: 1. The first American Morse Code message transmitted in 1844 by Samuel Morse himself, 2. In 1912 the Titanic transmitted the then new SOS distress call as it sank, 3. In 1956 the beacon atop the new Capitol Records Tower flashed Hollywood to promote them as the first record company based on the west coast, 4. In 1966 Commander Denton blinked a message to secretly communicate how POWs were being treated in North Vietnam, 5. The last official use of International Morse Code by the French Navy in 1997.
