The “autopoiesis” project is an experimental approach that combines 3D Art with AI-Generated Art to create images of a "cosmic metaphor" that functions as a closed network of production processes, transformation, and destruction of optical elements, inherent in a perpetual cycle of life and death. Visual elements give birth to geometries and shapes forming a continuum that is interwoven with a sound composition based on algorithmic sound patterns, samples, and musique concrète.
"tears tears tears" is an experimental stop-motion animation made only of water and light… an homage for human heart and all the emotions that make it beat, subtle or dramatic, stubborn or volatile... The process of creating the film lasted for 6 months and for its author it was a long meditative amd therapeutic process. Words written with frozen letters were melting under the eye of the camera for about 30 minutes, while on the screen they appear for a few or a dozen seconds, sometimes disappear in the blink of an eye or stay longer, repeat and repeat themselves.
Music animation for the song "Be Gone” by electronicore band KNIVESRAIN. By exploring the possibilities of combining AI-generated content with hand-drawn 2D animation, it tells a story of a mobile phone that experiences the plight of modern people in a serendipitous epiphany, learning what it means to be human between life and death.
A dream on a long dark highway. Voyager Birdman is a frame-by-frame experimental animation made from simple line drawings, rotoscoped video clips, and views of the highway filmed between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Sounds of podcast voices, old radio programs, Nasa recordings and audio files sampled from those carried at this very moment by the Voyager space probes launched in the late 1970’s, merge with an unfolding stream of hand-drawn symbols, sketches, figures and fragmented views of the passing landscape. It attempts to capture the fleeting dynamics of thoughts, impulses and memories experienced on a long night’s drive - much like the virtual and untethered character of contemporary existence - and the lure of an interstellar connection.
ESTUARY is a sparse, meditational animation with some of the values and attributes of a visual haiku. Its images are loosely based on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the James River. As an experimental work expressed through forms in motion, ESTUARY treats hand-drawn animation as an analog to dance and poetry. Concept, animation, and graphics by Warren Bass. TRT 3:20.
Broadcasting from home, was created while reflecting about the perplexity of loss and the human desire to communicate with the afterlife. The video was manufactured using frame-by-frame analog transfer technique and digital post-production.
I was inspired by my novel “The smudge” (Taxideftis-2021), seizing the opportunity to recreate on my story and characters and thus experimenting to enrich and deepen the already given material, in order to expand it to different levels. In a nutshell, the elements Ι played with were the fragments of thoughts, feelings and body, lost in the chaos of the human condition, trying to find their way out οf the labyrinth, in purpose of equilibration and restabilization. The body is used as an allegory, the house of psyche, where words, consciousness, unconsciousness, memory, experience are scattered and rediscovered in their wholeness. In this process, the connotated symbolism of death is conceived as restart and metamorphosis. Technically, fragmented images and phrases are clockwise seminated in the illustration, around the center and point of reference, as if trying to find their existential meaning by following the rhythm of life while struggling to become a complete entity. mp4 experimental short, silent
The cameraless animated short ''they rise, these sponge fortresses'' is made from a 35 mm trailer of the feature film ''Water Lilies'' (2007) by Céline Sciamma. Experimental filmmaker Guillaume Vallée explores and questions his sensory memory as a teenager, partially lost. This process of resuscitating buried experiences and forgotten memories is carried by the materiality of 35 mm film, the nature of the images filmed and the interventions of the filmmaker painting and scratching the film emulsion directly. In this reverse journey, the memory-images, the affects reveal their plasticity, their imperfections, their chaos, their sensuality and their significance. The soundtrack is by Stephanie Castonguay and the texts by author Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay.
This is a short film of the song, “Omnipotent Resolution”, from the band Uniqueness, with a conceptual theme called, reality in dreamscape.

Film is generated by AI for humans. Don’t worry humans are creative and better than AI. You are the ones who will always have the upper hand, because you have the ability to imagine, to feel, to love. Thank you for existing. IDEA: We want to highlight the changes in artistic self expression of humanity. Exponentially more capable AI tools are replacing countless hours of artististic labor with a prompted result almost instantly. Ever increasing ability to mimic human behaviour creates daunting and curious, sometimes funny results. This film is an imprint in time, a documentation of this technology in its infancy stage. Interestingly enough it's already not easy to decipher AI art from that of a human artist. This is portrayed through AI generated visual art and narrative bult from conversations with it. Film is made to create a natural curiosity about this technology and its relationship with human. Technical information: All images were generated by AI, but animated by human(after effects). Text were generated by AI and adopted to fit idea. Some part of music are also generated by Ai, but mostly composed by Julius Zubavičius.
Star People strolling through the night. Each of them alone, in their own dance, accompanied by shiny flowing waves. Those small sparkling dashes can lead them out of the darkness into surrealistic, mysterious and cheerful scenery, if everything goes right…
