It is the year 1846 in France. Dassin, a struggling writer, is sitting in front of his unfinished novel. Just a page, only a few more words and he will have finally concluded the work of his life. However, lately, he hasn´t been able to work as he used to. He doesn´t have the courage to fight the blank page. That is because of the terrible gaze he feels coming down from the very top of his bookcase. Up there a bust of Dante Alighieri seems to judge his every move.
