The film offers a fresh and humorous rendition of the story of how Kohelepele (Koko Head) came to exist. Told in ‘Ōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian) and Pidgin English, Kapo Maʻi Lele (Kapo And Her Flying Lady Parts) follows the exploits of arrogant, playboy demigod, Kamapuaʻa as he lustfully pursues Pele, the powerful and alluring Volcano Goddess. During the encounter, Peleʻs magical sister, Kapo, sends her flying vagina from Maui to Hawaii Island to distract Kamapuaʻa from Pele. He takes the bait and an airborne chase ensues in which the result is an explosive new crater, Kohelepelepe, on the island of ‘Oahu.
