When the eccentric owner of a bustling nightclub keeps an eye on his business, his gaze falls on a mysterious lady dressed in red whom he wants to make his own at all costs. While the other guests at the club loose themselves in decadence, the owner remains spellbound by the lady and his inner demons. Will he risk to loose it all? The Masque of the Red Death is a stop-motion allegory about lust, decadence and decay. Based on the short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe (1809 – 1849) in which a bloody pestilence manages to invade a masked ball in a locked castle.
